Here's what I've done

Hi, I’m Dominic Burke, a director of Burkeworks (hence the “Burke” in... well, you get the drift...!),

 

In essence, Burkeworks is a creative strategy and copy writing consultancy providing marketing and communications services for a wide range of clients.

 

My career spans over three decades working for market leaders including McCann-Erickson in Sydney and Saatchi & Saatchi in London. I was also the Creative Director for Adcorp, creating major campaigns for St.George Bank, 3-Mobile, Xstrata Mining, Qantas, DEXUS and Colliers International.

 

These days I happily focus this cumulative experience and expertise working from concept and pitch to implementation. Depending on the task at hand this encompasses everything from fast-turnaround ads through to multi-platform campaigns.  

 

While working with agencies I also consult (and write copy!) for business enterprises of all shapes and sizes.  I even run the occasional copy writing workshop to help clients articulate the written word on a day to day basis.

 

In the past few years I’ve also worked extensively in  the Not For Profit (NFP) arena. This includes major projects for Ability Options, Cystic Fibrosis Australia, Suicide Prevention Australia and the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

 

After all this time scribbling concepts and penning reams of copy, you name a sector and I’ve worked with it. 

 

And the reason for all that is simple... approaching every task with the intent to create something unique, creatively compelling and pragmatically effective... well that’s what makes it all really worthwhile!
